It was in a lovely town well worth visiting.
The hotel was old and was decorated in a sympathetic way with wooden floors in the bedrooms, very nice. It was advertised as a 5* I expected coffee making facilities. The bathroom was adequate but the shower in need of up grade, The groute around the tiles near the shower could have done with a good scrub as all the groute was grey compared to the ultra white of the rest of the bathroom, the shower curtain was black at the bottom and as you showered clung to you, not an ideal way to shower!!. There was a lot of noise from other rooms/ corridors.

We stayed in Room 203 from which there was a lovely view over the river and bridge and of the splendid castle. Very quiet at night. It was a pleasure to be in this room. The hotel has a homely feel about it and is warmly decorated.

The location was incredible, within a close distance from Godefroid de Bouillon. The restaurant was popular for dinner, I tried delicious dishes. The staff was really helpful, the bathroom was modern. I thoroughly enjoyed the city and hotel, would stay here again.

It was a magnificiant building with a lot of history. The Hot Chocolate was amazing. Overpriced for what you got. Did have a garage to house the motorbike which cost Euro 8 per night.
Unfortunately, although our room was a river view, it was very noisy during the afternoon when we arrived and wanted to relax due to the local train which stopped on the bridge very near our room. The train driver using a tanoy was extremely loud and this happened every hour. This did stop at 6pm. The rooms were a little peculiar inasmuch as if you wanted to use the bathroom at night, if you turned the light on, the main light in the bedroom also came on which disturbed me. Also they do not have duvets and consequently it was a very cold night. They only supplied a sheet and one blanket and the Bed Cover was possibly as old as the building. I would advise not to bother with the breakfast, which is extra, as there isnt a great deal of choice for Euro 10 per person.

It was a hotel in the traditional style, with friendly staff and excellent food. The location (we had a room with river view) was terrific.
Just a minor point, (not mentioned in the booking confirmation), but the free parking on site was not available, due to (municipal?) road works. However, for a small charge, we could park in the hotel's cellar garage, which we opted to do, rather than leave the car in the surrounding streets.

The restaurant was wonderful, as was the food and service.Breakfast great. Best croissants I have ever eaten!
Since the hotel had only 14 occupants I think an effort to put us up in a better room would have been a greatly appreciated. Alas, we were given a room at the back on the first floor which was so noisy from traffic we hardly slept. Such a gesture would have made us return which we will not. For this area off season €90 for such a small and drab room was excessive.
